List of Chelsea F.C. seasons

This is a list of all seasons played by Chelsea Football Club in English and European football, from their inaugural season in 1905–06 to their last completed season. It details their record in every major competition entered, as well as the top goalscorers for each season. Top scorers in bold were also the top scorers in the English league that season.

The club have won every major domestic honour, and have never been outside the top two divisions in English football. In total, Chelsea have won four League Championships (the First Division and its successor, the Premier League), six FA Cups, four Football League Cups and two UEFA Cup Winners' Cups. The club have also won various lesser honours, including four FA Community/Charity Shields, two Full Members Cups and one UEFA Super Cup.

  3. ^ Having finished 19th Chelsea would normally have been relegated, but when competitive football resumed in 1919 the First Division was expanded to 22 teams; the club were invited to rejoin the division.
  4. ^ Competitive football in England was abandoned three games into the 1939-40 season and all results were annulled.
